When should you create a birth list?

Many parents start their list a few months before the due date, so there's time to choose calmly and share the list at a baby shower or with the birth announcement.

You can always edit the list: after the birth, change the date to the actual birth date and add the name.

What should you put on a birth list?

Think practical basics (nappies, care, sleeping bags), bigger purchases (pram, car seat) and something personal. Mention a clear size or colour so guests can choose more easily.

Add gifts in different price ranges so everyone finds something that fits.

How does a contribution via bank QR work?

The guest picks an amount and optionally a name and message. Wish2Share creates a standard SEPA QR code (EPC) that many banking apps can scan. The guest checks and confirms the transfer in their own banking app.

Wish2Share doesn't process payments or charge fees. If scanning doesn't work, the guest can copy the IBAN.

Yes. Creating and sharing a birth list and receiving contributions via bank QR is free. There are no transaction fees.

Do guests need an account?

No. Guests open your list via the link and can browse gifts and contribute without an account.

Is my IBAN visible to everyone?

No. Your bank details are stored separately and protected. They're only shown to a guest who clicks 'Contribute', never in the public list or search results.

Can I keep the baby's name a secret?

Yes. The name is optional. You can add it later, for example after the birth.
